# About gta6.blog

> gta6.blog is an independent countdown to Grand Theft Auto VI and a dated record of every official Rockstar announcement, each one linked to its primary source.

gta6.blog does two things. It counts down to the release of Grand Theft Auto VI
on November 19, 2026, and it keeps a dated record of everything Rockstar Games
has officially shown or said about the game.

## What gets published here

An entry is added when Rockstar publishes something: a trailer, a release date,
a delay, a pre-order page, a broadcast. Every entry carries the date it was
announced and a link to the primary source it came from, which is usually
rockstargames.com. Nothing here is a rumour, a leak, a supposed insider claim,
or a report of what an unnamed source told a third party. If Rockstar has not
said it, it is not on this site.

That is a deliberately narrow remit. There is no shortage of places to read
speculation about Grand Theft Auto VI. There are far fewer places to check, in
one screen, what has actually been confirmed and when.

## What the game is

Grand Theft Auto VI is the first new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series since
Grand Theft Auto V in 2013. Rockstar has confirmed a release date of November
19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S. No PC release date has
been announced. The game is set in Leonida, a fictional state built around Vice
City, and follows two protagonists, Jason and Lucia.

## Independence

This is an independent fan site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or
connected to Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, or any of their subsidiaries.
All trademarks belong to their respective owners. Where the site quotes or
summarises an announcement, it links to the original so you can check it.

The site carries no advertising and no sponsored entries.

## Corrections

Dates and details are copied by hand, so mistakes are possible. If something
here is wrong, see the [contact page](/contact). Corrections are made in place
and the entry's source link always points at the record that settles it.
