# Release date set for November 19, 2026

Take-Two announced the delay alongside its fiscal Q2 results on November 6, 2025.
Grand Theft Auto VI moved from May 26, 2026 to **Thursday, November 19, 2026**,
a slip of just under six months and a full year past the 2025 window the first
trailer promised.

Rockstar's statement was short:

> Grand Theft Auto VI will now release on Thursday, November 19, 2026. We are
> sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but
> these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish
> you have come to expect and deserve.

Take-Two shares fell around 7 percent in extended trading on the news.

This is the second delay. The game was announced for 2025, moved to May 2026 in
May 2025, and moved again here. The date has held since.

It launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S. There is still no
announced PC date.
