Seventeen months after the first one, Rockstar released a second trailer, and
this time it was about the two people rather than the place.

Jason gets a name and a history. Lucia gets a motive. The trailer sketches the
relationship between them and the conspiracy they are caught inside, and it is
noticeably more interested in story than the first one was. Rockstar confirmed
the footage was recorded on a PlayStation 5, which was the closest thing to a
technical statement the company had made about the game.

It drew more than 475 million views across all platforms in its first 24 hours,
and went on to win Best Game Trailer at the 2025 Golden Joystick Awards.

The 2025 release window was already gone by this point. The trailer carried a
May 26, 2026 date, which would not hold either.
